To assist customers in choosing which tour best suits their personal fitness level, we have assessed our tours using the following rating system. Remember that you will probably be touring in much higher temperatures and humidity than you are used to and it is advisable to start with easy tours until acclimatized.

Rating 1. Easy. These tours involve driving to places of interest where light walking on relatively even terrain, short road or track cycling or simple flat-water kayaking delivers to the visitor a gently rewarding experience.

Rating 2. Moderate. These are moderately strenuous tours for which normal fitness is adequate. If a skilled activity is involved, such as kayaking the specialist activity is suitable for beginners.

Rating 3. Strenuous. Involves some strenuous physical activity, and stamina, skill and experience is required in the specialist activities. Suitable for clients who already follow a healthy lifestyle, and some program of aerobic activity. Not recommended for anyone with medical conditions affected by strenuous exercise.

Rating 4. Challenging. Both challenging and strenuous adventures; which require intermediate to advanced skills in the specialist activities.

Rating 5. Extreme adventure. Overcoming the physical and mental challenges encountered on these trips is an important part of the reason for going. It is very important that only clients with superb fitness and the required experience participate in these trips. At present the only service we offer in this category is facilitation to participate in the several adventure races that are staged every year.

Note: The same tour could be assessed and delivered with two different activity ratings depending on the speed with which the trip is undertaken and the number and duration of rest stops.
